The nose: The first exotic nose is explosive. It develops a very beautiful variation of the character of Sauvignon: boxwood, blackcurrant bud and honeysuckle. Airing clarifies and amplifies these scents, to which are added citrus notes, supported by more subtle hints of curry and saffron, which bring depth to the whole.
Taste: The attack is clean, lively, straight. The bouquet is complex, marked by citrus fruits then exotic fruit (mango, passion). The mouth provides a salivating sensation and offers a nice volume. It admirably declines all the aromatic palette perceived on the nose and continues with fresher notes such as grapefruit zest, followed by saline notes.

The wines from the 2019 vintage, dry and balanced, combine good freshness and beautiful aromatic expressions. The traditional wines of the “diamond label” range are vinified, produced and aged in our cellars from grapes supplied by loyal winegrowers and selected for the seriousness of their work and the quality of their contributions. The diversity of the terroirs allows us, by seeking harmonious blends upon arrival at the press, to ensure balanced and constant quality, vintage after vintage, even with extremely varied climatic conditions from one year to the next.

Racy and full-bodied wine with a silky attack, a beautiful aromatic complexity and fine acidity. Good persistence in a demi-sec style.

Our first white wine started out as an orange wine, fermented with the skins for an extended period. I liked the tactile feeling and density, but missed the finesse and precision of the classic French white wines from for example the Loire. With the vintage 2015 I changed our technique to search for the purity and flavors of Etna which evolved in maintaining a short period of skin contact and aging our white wines for an extended period in the coldest part of our cellar before bottling. The obtained elegance, purity and density makes this wine very suited to accompany a wide variety of dishes and cuisine, from fish to white meat.

A rich and fragrant wine of pure Nerello Mascalese from different vineyards, partly from our best parcels where we produce our crus (Zottorinoto-Chiusa Spagnolo, Feudo di Mezzo-sottana and Porcaria) as well as designated vineyards for this specific wine (Rampante sottana, Piano Daini and Crasà). A classic, traditional Nerello Mascalese with tannins and sweetness of ripe fruit. My vision of a traditional, balanced and rich Northern Valley Etna wine.
