A discreet but not invisible application of oak surrounds an ultra-spicy, ripe and agreeably fresh nose that is comprised by a beautiful array of black berries, plum and exotic Asian tea scents. In much the same fashion as the 2013 version the big-bodied flavors are robust, muscular and mineral-inflected before terminating a palate coating finish that goes on and on. I should point out that while this is not especially complex at present my score envisions that much more will develop. I say this not only because there is excellent underlying material but also because this wine has a fabulous track record for developing beautifully over time.

Domaine JAYER-GILLES <佳葉-吉爾酒莊> 是酒界頗受敬重的釀酒大師，所釀製酒款是酒迷饕家追逐的對象，甚至許多頂尖酒莊也常在缺貨時借調他的 Bourgogne。多家高級的餐廳選用 JAYER-GILLES 酒款，至少超過 100 顆 Michelin 米其林星，磪燦閃耀。
酒廠主人 Robert Jayer 與 Burgundy 最偉大釀酒師Henri Jayer 是堂兄弟，自 1948 年開始就學習釀酒，師承 DRC 釀酒師 André Noblet。
JAYER-GILLES 擁有優質傑出的葡萄園，他的 Nuits-Saint-Georges Hauts Poirets 與 一級園Damodes是讓人真正感受到 Robert Jayer 超高名氣的基石。
NSG Hauts Poirets 來自 Vosne Romanée 邊的 Nuits 50 年老藤，酒質濃郁，帶有黑櫻桃香味; NSG 1er Cru 則更芳香，飽含煙草、燒過的樹葉與黑醋粟的香味，大量巧克力及多汁的成熟黑色莓果堆疊出美妙的滋味。 單寧厚實，值得耐心窖藏柔化，兩款佳釀皆為頗具 Vosne Romanée 英姿的 Nuits-Saint-Georges。
此外，其 Echézeaux 購自 DRC 的 Echézeaux 的部份地塊，品質優異，可與 DRC 抗衡。
由 Côte de Nuits 及Côte de Beaune 即可看出 JAYER-GILLES 令人佩服的釀酒功力，即使不在頂級園區，他依然能夠釀出超水準演出的好酒，以嚮廣大酒友。JAYER-GILLES 的白酒亦相當精彩，值得品嚐。
