  • Domaine de la Mordoree【La Plume du Peintre 畫家之毫系列】CHÂTEAUNEUF DU PAPE Red 2005

    NT$ 28,000

The tiny production 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape la Plume du Peintre is a monumental wine. Coming all from the La Crau lieu-dit and made from 100% Grenache aged 30% in small barrels and 70% in stainless steel tanks, it offers massive amounts of cassis, blueberry, licorice, graphite and spice, full-bodied richness, building tannin and a youthful, unevolved profile that’s hard to believe. It won’t hit maturity for another 4-5 years and will keep through 2035+. This is a singular Chateauneuf du Pape that I wish every reader could taste; unfortunately, it’s almost impossible to find in the market.

This wine offers a fresh, intense and frank nose with aromas of white flowers, exotic fruits and citrus fruits. There are also nuances of dried fruit and yellow flesh peaches. A two-year ageing on fine lees reveals in the mouth a very beautiful structure, harmonious, patinated and fresh. The persistent flavours end on mango and the spices make it a wine to keep.

  • Château Peyros Greenwich 43N (Red) 2010

    NT$ 2,600

Black dress with intense ruby red highlights

The first nose is fresh, with notes of eucalyptus and licorice. Then, black and candied fruits give complexity to a second, more intense nose.

The attack on the palate is powerful with a lot of volume. An elegant sweetness accompanies the mouth throughout its length. The fruit is ripe, with aromas of red and black fruits. Balanced, with tannins present but coated and velvety, this wine has a good length in the mouth.

Will pair nicely with ducks, guinea, fowls, games, and with a black chocolate cake. Settling before being served.

  • Château Peyros Vieilles Vignes (Red) 2016

    NT$ 1,500

Red cherry robe, intense and brilliant. The nose is now well opened with intense notes of fruits (cherry, rasperry, black-currant) with notes of vanilla and lightly toasted. The mouth is both powerful and elegant. Tannins are present and well coated. On the palate, fruit aromas are really dominating with a long finish.
Will pair nicely with roasted meat, (lamb, beef), saucy meat, spicy beef tartar, duck breast. Settling before being served.
